I finally got around to posting a slideshow of Lilah on the site. Take a look at http://www.miketennile.com/lilah_pics.html. I probably should use some other service instead of tweaking a JS library and CSS files.
In five minutes, Lilah will be a week old already. I’m dropping the laptop and picking her up now.
Is the world ready for another Jones? Well, ready or not brave world, here she is. She came to us a couple weeks early, so we weren’t quite ready ourselves. Tennile was at her regularly scheduled appointment when the doctor gave her the news: you are going to have a baby today- march straight over the the hospital. Eight short hours later Lilah took her first breath. Mom and baby were doing quite well after the birth.
Tennile won’t let me post the videos of the actual labor, or quote anything she said (can you blame her?). Here is a video of her first bath:Lilah’s First Bath

OK - this is the first post on the new blog. The blog is intended for family and friends. If you are neither, read on if you really care to. You might not catch all of the little references we make. We don’t promise to entertain or to educate the masses. If you find us incidentally entertaining or educational, we apologize for the inconvenience.
On to current events. We just finished the flooring in the master bedroom today. The great remodel project of 2008 is one step closer to completion! To celebrate we are heading to Puerto Vallarta in a few days.
We watched the movie, “Singles” tonight. It was my choice. It is a great Seattle location movie. And a great Seattle music movie. Someday I’ll make a post dedicated to Seattle movies.
